Asia is now the driving force in this field, with China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, whereas Europe mastered the technology just 30 years ago. The ‘ESG’ revolution, in which environmental, social and governance criteria are taken into account, is gradually taking hold. A revolution that is obviously affecting energy production.

The electric car is still a long way from being adopted by users. Apart from the cost, it is the lack of electrical infrastructure that tends to dissuade this acquisition, in addition to the overall environmental debate.

Unfortunately, the world has no shortage of conflicts. Territories at war create migrants who flock to a variety of destinations. The United States remains the most popular destination for these suffering populations, ahead of Germany and Saudi Arabia. Russia still attracts many migrants, while Ukraine has dropped out of the rankings due to current events.

The world is also changing from one generation to the next. This is also reflected in our eating habits. Generation Z (1995-2012) has more food intolerances and consumes less dairy products, meat and alcohol than previous generations.

This summer, Mediterranean countries continue to be the preferred destination for holidaymakers, with France leading the way, even though Paris will have its statistics skewed by the 2024 Olympics.
